The Association for Information Management
The ASLIB-Emerald Award, which in 2012 will be in its ninth year, recognizes the most outstanding contribution to information management good practice published during the previous year in any of the six ASLIB-Emerald journals.
The key feature of this award is that the winning paper is decided by ASLIB's own Groups and Branches network voting for the paper that, in their opinion, best reflects the aims and objectives of ASLIB in bringing cutting edge research and best practice to their profession. Additionally, the paper will be well written and presented, clear and accessible and provide a significant contribution to the body of knowledge.

ASLIB is pleased to sponsor the Strix Award, presented in memory of Dr Tony Kent, a past Fellow of the Institute of Information Scientists. Tony Kent made a major contribution to the development of information science and information services both in the UK and internationally. The Award is given in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the field of information retrieval.
