Members fees apply to Aslib Corporate members and members of Aslib TTG, BCS Natural Language Translation Specialist Group, EAMT, IAMT, ITI, IoL and TILP.

What's included in the fees?
The fees this year include:

  • a copy of the Proceedings (after the conference, copies will be available
    for £45 plus p&p)
  • lunch and refreshments

VAT will be added - this is charged at 17.5%. If your organisation is exempt from VAT, you must supply a VAT exemption certificate. If your organisation does not have this, we shall have to charge you VAT.

A copy of the Proceedings is included in the fees above - additional copies can be purchased at the time of booking and will be available on the day of the conference for collection (they will not be posted). They will be available for £20 at the time of booking your delegate place. Please note: this offer is only available to conference. delegates. If bought after the Conference, the cost will be £45 plus p&p and can be orderded from here.

Method of Payment and Conditions

  1. By cheque drawn on a UK bank and made payable to ASLIB. Payments drawn on any other bank should include an additional £10 to cover bank charges.

  3. By invoice: an invoice for the fee can be sent to you.


Cancellations In the event that you need to cancel your booking, only a £50 + VAT charge will be made to cover our administrative costs if your cancellation is received more than 10 working days before the start of the conference. The full fee will be charged for non-attendance or cancellations made within 10 working days of the start of the conference.

We will accept substitutes for confirmed delegates, providing we receive notification of the substitute at least 2 working days before the start of the conference.

Indemnity
If for any reason outside the control of Aslib, the venue or speakers change, or the event is cancelled due to industrial action, adverse weather conditions, or an act of terrorism, Aslib will endeavour to reschedule, but the client/delegate hereby indemnifies and holds Aslib harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses, including legal fees, which are incurred by the client/delegate. The construction validity and performance of this Agreement shall be governed by all aspects by the laws of England to the exclusive jurisdiction of whose court the Parties hereby agree to submit.

An email notification that your place has been confirmed will be sent within 5 working days on receipt of your booking form.
