TRAINING: CAREERS INFORMATION
What
would I be doing?
The
job titles of Library and Information professionals are
changing quite frequently. However there seem to be several
main areas (we will certainly have missed some) which the
IRC has classified under the general heading of Library
and Information work, to make it easier to see some distinction;
the areas tend to reflect the courses available. A professional
could decide to go into any of them. We
consider the main areas to be: Indexer/Abstractor, Librarian/Information
Manager/Knowledge Manager, Archivist/Records Manager.
